Burglary concerns create school day delay

Law enforcement officials instructed Mountain View High to shelter in place Wed as they searched for armed burglary suspects in the vicinity.

Mountain View High’s campus Wed afternoon.

Police eventually apprehended and arrested 3 suspects, and no injuries were reported. Classes resumed after a short delay and school ended approximately thirty mins. later.

“There were concerns because they did not find the suspects initially and they were close enough to the school,” remarked David Grissom, the school’s principal.

Police have not yet identified the suspects.

“It’s kind when everything goes well,” Galea said. “It doesn’t always turn out that way.”
